A United Kingdom based Biafran Activist Ezeozika has accused the British Prime Minister Theresa May conspiring to Jail him of deport him for demanding for the independence of Biafra from Nigeria.
Biafra was a British colony and in 1914 Britain almagated the North and South to form Nigeria. As a result of the massacre 100 thousand Igbos (Biafrans) in different parts of Nigeria 1966, the people of Biafra declared themselves an independent state of Biafra in 1967.
A civil war broke between Biafra and Nigeria because of the refusal of Britain to allow Biafra become an independent country.
The war lasted for 3 years between 1967 – 1970 in which 1 million Biafrans were killed and another 2 million Biafran children were starved to death through the political, military and diplomatic might of the Britain.
50 years after, the survivors and remnants of that genocide have regroup in their renewed call for an independent state of Biafra.
One of the groups doggedly fighting for the freedom of Biafra is the Indegenous People of Biafra led by British Citizen Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is currently being detained in Nigeria by the government of Mohammed Buhari despite being granted bail and acquitted by different courts of competent jurisdiction.
