Nigerian: Imo Gov. Okorocha Allocates Colony to Fulani Herdsmen as Citizens Protest

Information reaching our newsdesk has it that the IMO State governor Rochas Okorocha has set Mgbee Community in Orlu senatorial zone and all the surrounding Communities in turmoil by taking away a massive portion of land between Mgbee, Ihioma, Ogberuru Obibi and Umuchima for Fulani Herdsmen colony against the wishes of the citizens of the state.

In a swift reaction and a show of their displeasure, Youths from Umuoshie Mgbee are waiting in the land for any one who may venture his leg in that area. It may turn bloody if care is not taken. They are well ready to resist Governor Rochas Okorocha from giving their land to Fulani Herdsmen and they call on all Orlu citizens in Diaspora to rise up against Rochas occupation of their land to avoid bringing killer Herdsmen in their quiet peaceful environment.

The traditional rulers of the surrounding Communities also confirmed that they are not involved in the deal against the well-being of their People.
The youths said we all know what Rochas Okorocha is doing in Imo State now, acquiring every land with his inlaw in the name of development changing them to his personal property and we must resist this.

The Fulani Herdsmen have been declared the world’s fourth most deadly terrorist group and have been responsible for killing of farmers and Christian communities in Northern and Southern Nigeria and the president of Nigeria has shown lack of capacity to arrest the ugly situation with Nigerians accusing President Buhari of nepotism and conspiracy of silence because he is from the Fulani ethnic stock.

In a similar development a sister Igbo State Anambra house of Assembly has set in motion a bill that will ban open grazing by Herdsmen due to the recurring cases of farmland destruction, and destruction of life.
