6 Killed as Gunmen Attack Christian Community in Kaduna, Nigeria

Six persons have been killed including a Community Leader with eight others critically injured as Armed Gunmen attacked the Christian Community of Sarari village, near Kuriga town in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.

The attack occurred around 2pm in the afternoon of Thursday with the gunmen going house to house killing people.

One of the injured victims named Henry who was shot on the leg said

“They came on motorcycles in large number. They went house to house shooting people. Our village head and five other people were killed. I was shot on the leg while trying to escape,” he told Premium Times.

Henry gave the names of the dead as Sule Sarari, the 60-year-old village head, ‘Lado, Yunusa, Jonah, Tela and one other person.

There has been series of serial Killing and genocide against the Christian Population of Nigeria by Islamic militants like the Bokoharam and Fulani Herdsmen, a situation which many accused the President of Nigeria Mohammed Buhari of Sectionalism and bias.
