Could this be the reason why all the prayers and fasting made for Nigeria are not yielding fruits?
Could this account for why Nigeria has remained undeveloped and tending towards a failed State.?
If it is true then it dates back to the Bible and the story of the Tower of Babel and the underlying principles of LANGUAGE and unity of purpose.
May be Nigeria’s colonial masters Britain knew this and they intentionally created Nigeria to fail.
The lesson of the Biblical and Scriptural Tower of Babel according to Genesi11:1-9 states that any country with diverse languages will fail as a project and eventually will become a failed nation.
Today Nigeria has more than 200 diverse languages and has remained underdeveloped and failing nation state despite the abundant natural and human resources at its disposal.
Genesis 11:1-9 New International Version (NIV)
The Tower of Babel Story:
1. Now the whole world had one languageand a common speech.
2 As people moved eastward,< and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar
4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scatteredover the face of the whole earth.”
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go downand confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
From this story it shows that the moment God introduced multiple languages into a group of people who previously had one language and were united in one accord in building a tower that will get to heaven, the entire project was brought to a stop and everyone went their separate ways.
So what this implies is that the fundamental structure for the development and growth of any country is anchored on the same value system with its root in similar language.
This is a task before Nigeria and your views, opinions and comments are welcomed.
