On April 18 2018, The State of Israel celebrated her 70 years of independence, Sovereignty and nationhood. In 1948 The State of Israel was proclaimed after the end of the second world war.
The United Nation partitioned the British Mandate of Palestine establishing Israel.
Having survived many war and hostilities from her Middle East neighbours Israel with joy marks her 70 years of Independence.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement said:
To be independent is to have the ability and power to defend yourself.
